Front Desk Receptionist
The role on offer
We currently have a part-time position available for an exceptional Front Desk Receptionist who will represent JT Consulting Engineers in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Roles and Responsibility
-
Telephone – answer & distribute calls
-
Stationery – maintain stock levels – order & receive
-
Presentation – Maintain reception area in a tidy condition
-
Book meeting rooms
-
General Administration tasks
To be successful in this role, it is envisaged that you will have:
-
Previous reception and customer service experience
-
MYOB experience is advantageous but not essential
-
Possess a professional and enthusiastic telephone manner
-
Excellent communication and computer skills
-
Possess high attention to detail
-
Excellent oral and written skills
-
Able to work with limited supervision
-
Good organisational skills
-
Social media skills are preferred but not required

Structural Engineer
This role is perfect for a candidate who is looking at taking the next step in their career with more responsibilities. Who is comfortable with little or no direct management and is able to utilise their technical experience to the best of their ability during projects.
To be successful for the role you will require the following as minimum requirements:

Have at least 5+ years experience in a design capacity in Australia
-
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with management and clients
-
Demonstrated experience in timber, steel, masonry and reinforced concrete design
-
Extensive project experience in the Residential sector with knowledge of Light Commercial and Light Industrial projects
-
Experience working with AutoCAD, SPACE GASS, RAPT and Structural Toolkit. Drafting ability will be an advantage. Experience in small scale drainage work will be an advantage

Longevity in your past positions

Roles and Responsibility

Detailed structural design of buildings projects

Working on a variety of projects you will be responsible for the full design from roof down to foundations as well as producing mark ups and detailing with computations.

You will manage projects and be the direct point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring that design documents are meeting briefs accordingly.

Provide mentoring, and technical guidance and support to engineering and drafting personnel within the team.

Structural Draftsperson
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Structural Draftsperson you will utilise your skills with AutoCAD to produce detailed drawings for residential developments. You will apply your knowledge of structural engineering, working autonomously and within a team, to produce detailed, professional plans for the Project Engineer.
DUTIES

Liaise with the drafting team, engineers and clients for project delivery

Preparation of structural documentation using AutoCAD
-
Ability to take a project from conception to completion
-
Produce professional completed drawings with minimal assistance
-
Coordination with architects and designers
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum 5 years structural drafting experience
-
AutoCAD experience essential
-
Previous experience with civil drafting will be advantageous

Be able to multitask and prioritise workload

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Civil Design Engineer
This role is perfect for a candidate who is looking at taking the next step in their career with more responsibilities, is comfortable with little or no direct management and is able to utilise their technical experience to the best of their ability during projects.

• Have at least 4+ years’ experience in a civil design capacity in Australia
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with management and clients.
• Extensive project experience in the design of stormwater systems including on-site detention for multi-storey developments, townhouses, warehouses, childcare centres and carparks.
• Experience working with AutoCAD and OSD4.
• Drafting skills in AutoCAD is essential.
• Longevity in your past positions.
• You must be an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa to be eligible to apply for this position.
